New Bedford, MA—On November 5 & 6, the South Coast Chamber Series continues its 2016-2017 season with “Whirlwind” in Marion and South Dartmouth. Oboist Donna Marie Cobert lends seductive charisma to the second concert of the season in a variegated trio of works by Hindemith, Hanson, and Rimsky-Korsakov. Beethoven's striking String Trio in C Minor, Op. 9 No. 3 opens the program, and the effervescent Piano Quartet No. 2 of Mendelssohn will send you home smiling. Joining Cobert are South Coast Chamber musicians Peter Buczek, Don Krishnaswami, Timothy Roberts and Janice Weber. Don’t miss this memorable musical journey. Two performances: Saturday, November 5, 4pm, St. Gabriel’s Church, Marion, and Sunday, November 6, 4pm, St. Peter’s Church, South Dartmouth. Tickets are $20 at the door.
