Arthur Lee, Jr., 79
Arthur Robert “Bobby” Lee, Jr., 79, of West Wareham died March 3 in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Brockton. He was the husband of Marie A. (Pina) Lee and the son of the late Arthur Robert Lee, Sr., and Marie Helen (Scott) Lee.
He was born in Cambridge, raised in Roxbury, and lived in California before moving to Wareham. He graduated from Boston Trade High School and attended City College in Los Angeles.
He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Lee worked as a mechanical engineer for many years before retiring.
He was a member and past commander of the Dudley L. Brown VFW Post 2846 in Onset. He enjoyed sports especially football and track and field. He also enjoyed watching westerns on television.
Survivors include his wife, Marie A. (Pina) Lee; a son, Harold Scott Lee and his wife, Jennifer of Dacula, Georgia; a daughter, Veronica Lee of West Wareham; a sister, Shirliann Daniels of Brockton; three grandchildren, Rae-Lyn Pina, Imani Lee and Dhani Lee; several nephews and nieces. He was the father of the late Arthur Robert Lee, III.
His funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 10 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Onset Avenue, Onset. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
