Wareham Police charge 5 with assault, disorderly conduct after several disturbances

Jun 12, 2018

Several fights and disturbances on June 9 and 10 had Wareham Police arresting five men on charges that include assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest among others.

On June 9, Officer Blaise Lalli and Detective Dean Decas responded to Plymouth Avenue at approximately 4 p.m. after a fight was reported. Shawn Raymond, 43, of East Wareham allegedly struck another man with his hands, kicked him and threw a rock at the victim’s back.

Raymond was arrested and charged with: assault and battery, assault and battery with a deadly weapon, two counts.

On June 10, Officers Stephen Harrison and Christopher Corner responded to Glen Charlie Road at approximately 1:50 a.m. for a call regarding a suspicious car.

Officers found Ellery Willis, III, 26, of East Wareham sitting by the side of the road, but no car. Police said Willis began to yell, slurring his words, and then struck Corner in the face. Police said a struggle ensued as Willis began throwing his elbows, kicking and swinging his body back and forth in an attempt to escape.

Police used a Taser to subdue Willis, who was taken into custody. Willis was charged with: disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

At approximately 6 a.m. on June 10, Officers Calib LaRue and Ryan Turner responded to Tobey Hospital for reported disturbance. Officers found Christopher Vanbeeck, 40, of Buzzards Bay allegedly yelling, swearing and refusing to calm down. Vanbeeck was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Later that day, at approximately 9:50 a.m., officers responded to Parker Drive for a report of a disturbance involving a machete. Police learned that a car had fled the scene. Officer John Iacobucci noticed the car at the corner of Cromessett Road and Marion Road. Iacobucci spoke with the occupants and as a result arrested Terrence Jacintho, 26 of Wareham on an unrelated warrant. Police noted the original call regarding the machete remains under investigation.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., Officers Nate Aronson, Charles Pillsbury and Blaise Lalli responded to the area of Fearing Street for a report of two men yelling. At the scene, officers found a man who was “flailing his arms around in a violent manner.” The man, Jeremy McKay, 27, of East Wareham allegedly began scuffling with officers and was arrested. Police said McKay again became unruly at the station before being placed in a holding cell. McKay has been charged with: disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, interfering with a police officer and resisting arrest.

Out of respect for those that don't like it, I've refrained from using the word Warehamy in my comments for a long time.  Well folks, I cannot contain myself after this one.  It just doesn't get much more Warehamy than this!  These types of people need to be herded up and disposed of like the garbage that they are!

Explain this occurrence.  Was it a bad batch of drugs?  Was it the moon?  How do all these morons act up like this at the same time?  A group of 5 grown men acting like this.  It only happens here.  Find me an article in a surrounding town that even comes close to this disgraceful nonsense!  Once again, this story made it to Southcoast news and beyond...so proud!  They should put it right in front of the real estate section to help people decide if they want to move to Wareham.

Imagine what it smelled like in there with all these filthy animals in the cells at once!  The WPD earned their money this past weekend!

So glad they caught these thugs.  These are the type of losers that come with 40b PROJECTS. They come with the woman that are getting the free apartments 99% of time.  Just look at this bunch of losers, what a pitiful sight. PROJECTS are Warehams downfall, Fight this forced infiltration of losers. Stuff it Gannon

Not for nothing...

One of these fine fellas is a business owner here in town, go figure.

Ok back to the trash talk and Warehamy comments.

hey no balls breaker … most of the people that live in 40B housing are better for this town than a loud mouth hide behind a screen name like you ..

and I don't see any indication that these fine citizens live in subsidized housing, guess you're just making a bigoted assumption … get a new soap box

"They come with the woman" Sexist comment, sexist whiny man baby.

Posted by: cranky pants | Jun 12, 2018 17:35

40B and affordable housing was designed to be a hand up... Not a handout.

I've often wondered what would happen if passing a drug screening was part of the credentials needed to receive any type of assistance be it housing, healthcare or EBT cards. There would be a ton of new tents out behind Cape and Islands tire. ( for those of you that think the old homeless camp behind old Wal-Mart is gone, nope it just migrated. )

Yup, i thought it was gone but i found it. It's not too far back off that road along the tracks that starts at Water Wizz and goes behind Cape & Island Tire.  It's actually visible on Google Earth!

I need to pass a drug test for the paycheck that I earn by working.  It amazes me that a drug test isn't required to receive assistance.  Does anybody know the reason why it's not?

Deny it Davids girl, thats where these monsters reside. They come with the women that get section 8 because they became a baby momma to these maggots. They are sponging like a square pants on the public dole. You see them slouched like punks in the passenger seat of the their girl friends car while she is driving, pumping gas of buying the maggot cigarettes or vap fluid. Punks so lazy they cant even to be bothered to get out of car. Losers! Every last one of them

Wow Gannon, your triple comment is quite childish. Who voted you speaker for Wareham? Readers have opinions and just because you don't agree you act like a 5 year old?? Good job.

Posted by: 181mph | Jun 13, 2018 17:24

gotta love the narrow minded, racist, hate club, they post on here daily with the hate and nasty comments about folks and such, just look at this article for example, 6 nasty trash filled racist posts, but WWAREHAM RESIDENT calls out the 1 person that disagrees with the poster who  called out the biggest purveyor  of hate, whose points were correct,,, but no comments on the trash talk posts?? bunch of fkn losers club more like it

Posted by: Wareham By The Sea | Jun 13, 2018 18:29

come on 181- there you go!  first of all, where is anything racist in any of these comments?  why must everybody that defends criminals, losers, junkies, and such always throw in the racist card?  I'm darker than any of these white degenerates and I don't see a thing racist that offends me!  There is no no racism here!  Save it!

second of all, why must you rush to that aid of the dregs of society?  You go cold for months and then you pipe up at times like this!  These 5 guys are losers!  They deserve no aid from you or anybody else.  Are these your pals?  Did you get away that night?  Should you have been the 6th dope with a mug up on here?

Posted by: gottahaveit | Jun 13, 2018 19:13

181mph. You hit the nail on the head.  Don’t waste your time on these loser folks that have nothing better to do than publicly humiliate our fellow citizens to make themselves feel better. We can’t all live on the west side and have perfect lives like you arrogant sobs.  They are on here every single day putting down the same kind of people, blaming 40b developments and the single mothers that live there For all the problems in wareham.  Who buy the way cook the food you eat and care for your sick asses if you have to go to the hospital for something and multiple other jobs that you all rely on everyday.  I know plenty of great people that live in 40b housing and they are a critical part of this town, unlike the negative people on here.

Posted by: Wareham By The Sea | Jun 13, 2018 19:30

These 5 publicly humiliated themselves.  They certainly are not our fellow citizens.  Read the article and look at them!  I'll never understand how criminals and people that do bad things can be blindly defended by underdog supporters!  This is what is happening in a society where kids have no boundaries and no repercussions.  They turn into adults like these guys and still have people that defend them!  I'll never get it.

Posted by: gottahaveit | Jun 13, 2018 21:54

WBTS....  See now this is the problem,  we are not standing up or by these “accused” criminals,  we are standing up against you bullies that hide behind imaginary walls called social media.  Wareham needs positive role models not citizens that publicly humiliate one another.

I would love to meet you in person and have a real discussion....   ?????  Let’s go at it on an intellectual level instead of a social level.  Oh but you and your people are to good for that correct?

Posted by: WWareham resident | Jun 14, 2018 07:12

181MPH, my post was absolutely NOT racist and yes  I did call out Gannon because he is always pushing his elitist liberal opinions on everyone else and defending all the decisions made by town leaders that are making Wareham a

A place no one would ever want to move to. Losers? Really? That's funny, crawl back into the hole you came from. I've never seen a post from you and couldn't care less about your opinions. Do the letters F. O. mean anything to you ....

Gottahaveit your comment is the most racist one here. "You and your people"? Unbelievable, the pot calling the kettle black.

Posted by: cranky pants | Jun 14, 2018 07:34

I know one thing. Before people try to discredit the opinion of others in a public setting they might want to pull out the old Hooked on Phonics books they were given in elementary school...

Your ill use of,, punctuation, and run on, sentences, give me a, headache and completely, displays that, you are,,

Posted by: Wareham By The Sea | Jun 14, 2018 10:51

GOTTAHAVEIT- we all interpret things a little differently.

Without getting into a long thing about due process, I do not think these knuckleheads and the majority of the knuckleheads shown in Wareham Week's neverending showcase of mugshots deserve the italicized "accused" as you wrote it.  I trust the WPD and I know a thing or two about classics like these men.  I'm sure the WPD doesn't go around arresting peaceful men from church and from family picnics!  Lets not let the 5th Amendment cloud reality here!  Our men in blue would rather not deal with these guys any more than you or I would so I doubt they arrested them for the fun of it!

Bullies...now there's a multi-facetted word with new definitions in today's soft society.  A bully stole my snack at recess in 1982.  That's a bully.  A bully picks on the weak and the innocent.  These knuckleheads are far from weak and innocent!  My MO is to comment on these types.  I do not think of it as bullying.  I do it out of frustration.  What I say is often tongue-in-cheek facetiousness.  I grew up down here among many of the characters and I must say that there is just something about them.  For over 30 years they just never cease...

Role models...hmmm.  My kids are well aware of the "Warehamy Element"  Sorry for that word but it speaks verses and I'm running out of time to type.  My kids know how I feel about it.  My kids know not to ever ever associate with any of them and they know to never be like any of them.  So, I guess there is a silver lining!  My kids look at the never ending supply of pathetic mugshots on here and they know what not to be when they grow up.

I'd like to meet you and all of our fellow commenters on here...but that would be just be weird.  This is a little bit of a persona type thing that I do for fun...I wouldn't be quite the same over breakfast at MillPond.

WBTS, you never fail to amaze me, you are never wrong, everything you state is actual truth, you are so full of your self righteous opinions, @cranky pants, you would be the follower of the hate group, nothing original comes from you, just bullshit, all the time, and now i see you have declared yourself the grammar/spelling police chief,, all hail,,and to WBTS, you just might get your wish about meeting me, i am so looking forward to meeting each and every one of you, in about 6-7 months i will be back in country and planning a trip up to old wareham, looking forward to WBTS buying me a coffee, and i am sure you wouldn't be quite the same once you come out in public, no crybabys ever are, looking forward to the free breakfast ;-)

181 please stay in your 3rd world country , we don't need Zika or some other horrible affliction introduced here.

Posted by: cranky pants | Jun 14, 2018 13:24

I like how you took ownership of my post there 181, I didn't address you or any one person in particular. Thanks for your observation and declaration though, mighty nice of you.

A quick check back at anything you post and I'm seeing nothing but attacks on people that share their opinion in public forum... So what better are you than anyone ? I didn't think you were, but you keep trying to tell us you are. One more time for the record, please tell us how much more awesome you are than the rest of us newspaper warriors.

I wouldn't consider myself grammar or spelling police, I just have no problems pointing out the obvious. It's becoming quite obvious what I'm dealing with here. Now go sh!t in your hat and pull out over your ears, it' going to be a long flight.

Posted by: 181mph | Jun 15, 2018 13:40

so looking forward to my breakfast from WBTS, @spherebreaker, y'all already have an horrible affliction, it's called hate, racism, narrow mindness, elitism, cranky pants, etc
