Police made three arrests Tuesday at Pezzoli Square on Main Street, two for active warrants and a third for disorderly conduct.

Acting Police Chief John Walcek and Lt. John Gerard found Thomas Tavares, 60, of Wareham while on patrol. The two officers, who knew there was an active warrant for Tavares arrest, took him into custody.

Two more arrests were made on scene with the assistance of Officer James White.

Sarah Chiuchiolo, 52, of Wareham was taken into custody on an active warrant.

Barry Pires, 60, of West Wareham, was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, indecent assault and battery and resisting arrest.

They come in threes.  Seems like the latest trend.

Is Pezzoli Square there downtown next to the Post Office?  All these old undesirables hanging out downtown.  How nice.  At least it makes it easy to find and arrest them.

They need to replace that park bench with the kind that has an armrest in the middle.  Those were invented to keep people from sleeping on benches.  Nothing says Welcome to Wareham Center better than a grimy old dude laying on a park bench for all to see.  Thought I saw Rip Van Winkle laying on it the other day.

Perhaps the new Space Force would be interested in buying the Wareham "magnet".  We could make a fortune :)))).
