Wareham Gatemen players continued their community outreach program this morning, July 17, at the Mattapoisett Public Library.

Gatemen players took this opportunity to widen the range of awareness of the Gatemen program.

During this visit to the Mattapoisett Public Library, the players went to the children’s library section to interact with the kids in attendance at the time.

The players joined the kids at the Lego table in the children’s library to build what ever their imaginations could come up with. They built everything from Lego fortresses and castles to spaceships and jet planes.

The kids and players chatted with one another about their Lego creations as well as where the players were from and what positions they played on the field.

The Gatemen players in attendance for this morning’s community service event were Zach Hart, Drew Millas, Austin Shenton, Oliver Dunn, Will Proctor, Jack Ralston, Pavin Parks, and Jacob Goldfarb.

For Gatemen baseball action, the Falmouth Commodores travel to Spillane Field for a division matchup with the Gatemen tonight, July 17. First pitch is slated for 6:30pm.

It will be 80’s night at the ballpark tonight, so be sure to wear your 80’s attire as best dressed will get a prize.
