Residents asked to weigh in on adult continuing education offerings

Sep 27, 2017

Wareham Public Schools officials are seeking public input on a plan that would offer college credit courses and adult education courses on a variety of subjects via a survey.

The surveys can be found online at or

The first survey asks what type of college credit courses people want to see offered and what days and times would be convenient.

The second survey asks about subjects should be offered, such as art, computers, health, financial planning and more. Surveys must be completed before Sept. 30.

Woodworking would be fun.  Wareham High has a decent shop. Metalworking, welding, and cooking are a few more.

Hopefully no taxpayer dollars are being used for this. Any staffing needs, cleaning and wear and tear on equipment should be paid for by the adults getting the education.

Seems to me like a great source of revenue for the schools. No one said the classes were free. Like every continuing ed program, you pay out of your pocket to get the education. Someone is on the ball at the school.
