Police: Wareham man berates officers before, during, after arrest

Jul 29, 2018

After a traffic stop, a Wareham man is accused of telling officers “you pigs, hope you get shot” on Friday, July 27, before his arrest.

Andy Morales, 39, of 448 Main St., was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, subsequent offense, after going on a tirade against officers, police said.

According to Wareham Police, Officer Eric Machado stopped Morales near Dogwood Lane on Friday, July 27, at approximately 6:45 p.m. Morales exited the car and put his hands on the hood of the cruiser, without being asked, police said. Machado, who has dealt with Morales before, handcuffed him due to his past behavior, police said.

After being handcuffed, police said Morales began cursing and said, “you pigs, hope you get shot.” As part of the on-scene investigation, police determined that he had a suspended driver’s license. While being taken to the police station, Morales attempted to spit at Machado, but was unsuccessful, police said. At the station, Sgt. Herbert Noble, Officers Michael Phinney and James White assisted in getting Morales into the building, police said. Morales was booked with difficulty and placed into a holding cell where he continued to yell, police said. Morales is due in Wareham District Court on Monday morning.

On Saturday, July 28, police also arrested Jarrod Alves, 29, of New Bedford, as the result of an outstanding warrant.

Michael Pina, 33, of no certain address, was arrested by Officer Peter Silvia near 18 West St. Pina was found in the driver’s seat of a car that had earlier been taken by him, police said. He was charged with use of a motor vehicle without authority.

On Sunday, July 29, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Officers Matthew Donovan and Kyle Gomes spotted a car they knew was uninsured driving in the Shangri-La neighborhood.

The driver pulled into a driveway on Plymouth Avenue and Gary Villano, 53, of no certain address, was arrested after officers determined he had a suspended driver’s license, police said. He was charged with operating after suspension of driver’s license, driving with a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Another shirtless miscreant.  Thank you officers for being able to do what you do!  Dealing with disrespectful wastes of life like this POS must get old.  He needed 39 kisses from Billy the club, one for each of his wasted years of life.
