Wareham Police Department officers arrested 45-year-old Mark Larson on July 1 at approximately 6 p.m. for lewd behavior.

Police say Larson, a Wareham resident, intentionally exposed himself to two adult males on separate occasions at the public restrooms on the bluffs across from Onset Pier. Officers noted Larson was highly intoxicated.

Larson was charged with two counts of Open and Gross Lewdness and placed into protective custody. He is scheduled to appear for arraignment on the charges at Wareham District Court.

The Wareham Police Department Detective Division requests that anyone with possible further information regarding Larson and his actions Saturday evening call the WPD Detective Division at (508) 295-1206.

Love the shy, coy look in his arrest shot. Guess he will have to work on his approach at the restrooms...lock him up and toss the key.

No big deal.  This kind of stuff happens everywhere.  That's what I'd be told if I rant too much about the actions of this fine resident of our town. So I'll bite my tongue.  As long as Wareham's own residents continue to s**t where they eat, we will always be known for these odd Warehamy type things.  That's all.

Why no address for this pervert? People in the area should be told that there is a perverted person nearby

Somebody should tell this clown about all those friendly guys hanging out the the 195 rest area launch ramp.

I wonder what they use the plants for.......maybe I don't need to know.

Deviants like this freak and those that turned our Visitor Center rest stop into a pickle park are the reasons why it's so hard to accept diversity.  How can we when the ones representing are doing their people such a disservice?

Posted by: WantToSeeChange | Jul 05, 2017 13:38

This is the excuse you are going to use for not accepting diversity?   How "Trumpian" of you.

Posted by: montana20 | Jul 05, 2017 15:14

Have a strong feeling accepting diversity is not one of your strong areas. And this is the reason your ranting is not accepted. I agree this guy is sick, but to point at his  race is pure ignorance.

Posted by: Wareham By The Sea | Jul 05, 2017 16:08

Who's pointing at his race?  I stated nothing about race.  I was pointing at him exposing himself to males and the other comments about the guys hanging at the 195 rest area launch ramp.  How the heck are we supposed to teach acceptance and diversity about LGBT when this small percentage deviants ruin it for them all?  It must be frustrating for decent gay men to be associated with the well know illicit activity that happens at rest stops and the actions of guys like Mark.  That's all.  No race cards today.  In fact, based solely on appearance, Mr. Larson and I could be cousins...so there...

Don't worry about it wbts , just a couple of deranged left wing snowflakes itching to get triggered. Thats what they do, now they can bask in their self righteousness. They don't care what you said, they respond to what they think you said. It really is an illness.

Posted by: Wareham By The Sea | Jul 05, 2017 23:52

Sphere, thanks for the advice.  I can't not worry about it.

Andrea, my comment that you reposted from just three spaces above says nothing about race.  Please explain what you perceive as a reference to race to help me understand what I may have done by accident.

Montana, I've stated nothing about race.  Please explain what you see as well.

You two have me rereading it 10 times looking for something that could have been misunderstood about race but there is nothing.  Unless homosexual deviance is a race, I think you two owe me an apology.

Wareham by the Sea – I did not say that I perceived your comment to be a reference to race. I said,

“Wareham by the Sea - Perhaps Montana20 was reacting to the following comment which you posted today:”

And then I quoted one of the two comments you made on July 5, prior to my comment.

As to why I thought Montana20 may have been reacting to your comment which I quoted:

The term you used, “diversity,” is often used in reference to “racial diversity.” While the article did not mention race or diversity, the photograph which appeared with the article reflected skin tones that some might identify with race.

If your intention was to refer to “sexual orientation” as diversity, the article did not reference sexual orientation, nor did the photo accompanying the article include anything that would suggest sexual orientation other than depicting an individual who appeared to be a male.

Per chance your comment which I quoted was intended to be interpreted within the context of the earlier (1st) comment that you posted on July 5th in which you referenced sexual orientation, I offer, first a quote of your (1st) comment which I will now be referencing:

Posted by: Wareham By The Sea | Jul 05, 2017 16:08

Who's pointing at his race?  I stated nothing about race.  I was pointing at him exposing himself to males and the other comments about the guys hanging at the 195 rest area launch ramp.  “How the heck are we supposed to teach acceptance and diversity about LGBT when this small percentage deviants ruin it for them all?”

And then I offer the following:

First a reminder that the article did not state the individual’s sexual orientation. Nor did the article mention LGBT or any group included under the term LGBT. Both sexual orientation and LGBT were introduced into the discussion by you.

Second, and most importantly, according to Psychology Today the term for someone who repeatedly exposes themselves is “Exhibitionism.” Exhibitionism occurs throughout many segments of society, can result from a number of factors, and is neither LGBT specific nor homosexual specific.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/conditions/exhibitionism

Therefore in answer to your question which I now quote,

“How the heck are we supposed to teach acceptance and diversity about LGBT when this small percentage deviants ruin it for them all?”

If one wished to teach acceptance and diversity about LGBT, one would not in the process of teaching equate exhibitionism with either the term LGBT or with homosexuals.

Finally, I know you have clearly stated in the past that you like to play word games, fish, toss out hooks and in general, see who you can lure into a lengthy, multi-post debate. When I post a comment online it is for the purpose of providing information and based upon that information, offering an opinion. Having done both beneath this topic, I’m done with the topic. I’m not getting “lured” or “hooked” into a debate.

Enjoy the weekend.

Wow .... Way too much time on someone's hands.

Posted by: Wareham By The Sea | Jul 07, 2017 14:30

Thanks Andrea, that's a detailed comment.  I appreciate it and I respect you.  You are very well written and informed.  Yes, you are correct, I was not referring to racial diversity.  That would have been wrong in many ways.  Also because Marky and I have about the same tan right now, I would have been a hypocrite. I was referring to LGBT diversity because of the comments by others about the rest stop and because I happen know more about this story.  I am aware that exhibitionism has nothing to do with LGBT or any of that.  If that was the case, any goofy kid that's ever "chucked a moon" at a buddy would be gay.  I know and I get it.  I'm a little jaded about the rest stop thing so I took the opportunity to mix that in a bit.

And finally, the peanut butter sandwich thing was a long time ago.  I did admit to luring on that occasion.  Even though many of my comments are opinionated and negative, it hasn't been my intention to lure anybody since the peanut butter thing. Whatever happens naturally, happens naturally without luring. I apologized recently and you said thank you.  I figured that the hatchet was buried.  Remember, that peanut butter thing was fueled by the fact that my little girl had to eat fish in a janitor's closet, on Friday in Lent, at a Christian school because ONE student claimed to be allergic to fish.  Then we found out that the ONE student just didn't like the smell of fish.  I'm getting aggravated all over again as I recall it!

Anyways, you have a great weekend too.
