A fire caused $200,000 worth of damage to a three-story, single-family home at 91 Great Neck Road Wednesday morning.

Wareham Police, firefighters and Onset firefighters responded to the fire, which was reported at 11:25 a.m. The three-alarm fire prompted officials to call in Onset’s ladder truck to assist with extinguishing the blaze. The Bourne, Carver, Middleboro and Marion Fire Departments also offered support.

In total, there were 40 firefighters on the scene. No one was home when the fire started and no civilians were injured. The family’s dog, who was inside the house at the time, was rescued safely.

The fire was mostly out just before noon, but firefighters continued to find hot spots for approximately 30 minutes afterward.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Wareham Fire Department, the State Fire Marshal and State Police.
