The Wareham High School Key Club earned a long list of awards at the Key Club District Convention held the weekend of Saturday, March 30.

“It feels good,” said Key Club President Aidan Dillen. The Key Club is not one of the most recognized clubs in school, and a lot of people don’t know what it does, Dillen said, adding that the club does things such as volunteering at the local food pantry at least once a month.

Dillen earned an “Outstanding President” award, with Vice President Kiley Sullivan and Treasurer Gisella Priestley also achieving “Outstanding” designations.

The Wareham High School Key Club as a whole earned the Distinguished Club award, and took second place in the bronze division for an Annual Achievement Award.

The club also took second place for a Single Service Project Award with its Mental Health Awareness Week, took third place for a Signature Service Project Award with its Operation Provide Comfort, took first place for a Promotional Video Award with the video being directed by Kiley Sullivan, took first place for its Monthly Secretary’s Report from Eliza Hough and earned an Early Bird Award for getting member dues paid early.
