ONSET – Margaret M. (Moynihan) Linehan, 92, of Onset passed away on March 25, 2024, at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. She was the wife of the late John Henry Linehan and the daughter of the late Cornelius and Bridget T. (Healey) Moynihan.

She was born and raised in Brockton. She spent many summers in Onset before moving there full time in 2007. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1949 and enjoyed attending class reunions.

Mrs. Linehan worked as a Teacher’s Aid for the Brockton Public Schools for many years before retiring. Previously she worked as a Telephone Operator for New England Telephone Co.

She was a devout catholic and member of St. Mary’s Church in Onset and St. Margaret’s Church in Buzzards Bay and was an active volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul Society. She enjoyed playing golf at Little Harbor Golf Course in Wareham.

Survivors include her children, Michael Linehan and his wife, Cheryl of Abington, Richard Linehan of Brockton, Ann Pellegrino and her husband William of East Bridgewater and David Linehan and his wife, Vanessa of Dracut; a sister, Elizabeth Beaton of Kingston; six grandchildren, Jeff Ratliff, Kyle Linehan, Brendan Linehan, Sean Linehan, William Pellegrino, Jr. and Paula Lopes; six great grandchildren, Ariel, Liam, Finn, Luna, Lyla, and Mary. She was the grandmother of the late Derek Ratliff and Coral Linehan and sister of the late John Moynihan.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Her funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main St., Buzzards Bay. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
