The program enables seniors to write off a maximum of $500 off their taxes by working in various town departments. There are 35 positions available and seniors qualify on an income-based, needs-first basis, although applicants must be capable of doing the required work.

Applications can be picked up at the Selectmen’s office in Town Hall, located at 54 Marion Road. For more information, call the Selectmen’s office at 508-291-3100.

Hey to the Village Soup. It would be very much a community service thing for you to do if you would POST the Tax work-off Application and qualifying conditions on this Website. Think it over. If the Town cant or wont make these things easily accessible, it almost seems like its a bit of a Con with high visibility, but Low participation.                      Thanks for any consideration given to this issue.
