A suspect who tried to evade police by changing his outfit has been charged with shoplifting, third offense, authorities said.

Tyson Borges, 32, no address available, was arrested on Friday, June 22, in the Aldi parking lot after allegedly stealing $465 worth of merchandise from Walmart.

According to police, Borges left the Walmart parking lot in a Nissan Altima, which officers located across the street at Aldi. Borges had removed a long sleeve shirt in an attempt to change his appearance, police said. After an investigation, officers determined Borges was the suspect and arrested him.

Yep, the ole remove the shirt trick.  It would take more than removing a shirt to change the appearance of this tool bag!  The fact that he then remained wearing a classic white wife-beater tee-shirt just adds humor this nonsense.

The three with the stolen TVs from Walmart last week just went across the parking lot to Aldis as well.  How stupid.  Fleeing the scene after stealing something usually means traveling more than a few hundred feet!

With all the new retail in Wareham, we are quicliky becoming the shoplifting capital of Southcoast!  There's something else to be proud of!
