Wareham man convicted of child rape receives 10-year sentence

Sep 01, 2017

A West Wareham man convicted of raping a 15-year-old child received a sentence of 10 years to 10 years and one day and five years probation on Aug. 25.

David Gendron, 67, of 11 Gault Road, was found guilty on four counts of aggravated rape of a child and four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 following a seven and half hour jury deliberation in Superior Court, said Plymouth County District Attorney spokeswoman Beth Stone.

Stone said the jury heard evidence at trial starting on Aug. 23 and Aug. 24. Deliberations started Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. and Gendron was found guilty at 5:30 p.m.

For probation, Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Locke ordered that Gendron: have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16, wear a GPS monitoring bracelet and be subject exclusionary zones, have no contact with the victim, register as a sex offender and comply with sex offender treatment.

According to Stone, in February 2016 the 15-year-old victim reported to Wareham Police she had been raped and sexually assaulted by Gendron on a number of occasions between 2009 and 2011. Gendron was arrested on March 3, 2016 by Wareham Police following an investigation.

Sorry Knocked.  Good observation.  I also usually don't comment on this type of hardcore really bad stuff. There is absolutely nothing remotely funny or Warehamy about such an awful awful man. Sorry to disappoint.  Don't worry, it won't be long before something good happens that will inspire me.

There's that certain jenesaisquoi (did I spell that right?) of four idiots arguing in the street that is just looking for a comment loaded with satire. Same with a shirtless drunk  guy that's so stupid that he flees the scene and the EMTs watch him drive straight home to his trailer park. One can't make that up! It's funny.

I also will never make fun if someone gets hurt. Another reason why I didn't comment on this story. This awful man hurt a child in an unthinkable way.

Btw, for someone that appears offended by us, your comment sure seems like you were trying egg us on.

Little late but, I am so glad they caught and jailed this pervert. I will be even happier when he gets his due from an oversexed thug prison boyfriend with foul breath, unspeakable disease and an affinity for ghost pepper sauce.
