Wareham High School’s DECA Club has an additional $7,740 to help students attend state and national competitions courtesy of their hard work and some assistance from Wareham Ford.

The funds come from Ford’s Drive 4UR School event, which was held earlier this year run by DECA volunteers. The club boasts roughly 125 members and prepares students for careers in marketing, hospitality and business.

Held on May 12, the fundraiser offered visitors a chance to take five new Fords for a test spin. For every test drive, the car company donated $20 to the club.

The money was handed to club members on Thursday afternoon during a brief ceremony at Wareham Ford.
