Wareham firefighters extinguish pickup truck blaze

Photo by: David Curran Wareham firefighters put out a fire that totaled a pickup truck on Glen Charlie Road Tuesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported after Wareham firefighters extinguished a pickup truck that caught fire at 254 Glen Charlie Road Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze was reported at 3:28 p.m. According to the Wareham Fire Department, seven firefighters, one engine and two other department vehicles responded to the scene. Wareham Fire Department officials report the truck was totaled.

The cause of the fire was listed as “accidental,” according to a department press release. No other damage was reported.

What a bummer.  At least it looks like the license plate survived for use on the replacement truck.
