Toastmaster's Club open house set for April 12

Apr 02, 2018

The South Coast Toastmaster’s Club is a public speaking, communications and leadership organization that meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road. The group is inviting the public to an open house set for April 12 at noon.

The theme for the open house will be time management, and it will feature a speech by Maryann Murphy, author of “Stop Wasting Your Precious Time.”

The club offers a vocabulary word of the day, a joke of the day, two 5 to 7 minute prepared speeches, two-minute extemporaneous speaking sessions and evaluations of what just happened.

Anyone looking to get over jitters and gain more confidence in presentation skills are welcome. For more information, call 508-292-6706 or visit www.southcoast.toastmastersclubs.org.
