Thanksgiving Basket Program

The Gleason Family YMCA is coordinating the collection & distribution of food items for a Thanksgiving Basket Drive for the second year in a row. If you and your family reside in Wareham, Marion, Rochester and are in need of assistance for a Thanksgiving meal, you may register for one at the Gleason Family YMCA in Wareham. Families who qualify must pre-register to receive a turkey along with all the fixings to enjoy the traditions of Thanksgiving in the comfort of their own homes. Each bag includes a turkey, fresh & canned vegetables, stuffing, cranberry sauce, broth & more.

The cut-off date to register is November 18 or until we reach a limit of 215. If we reach the limit of 215 before November 18th your name will be placed on a wait list and you will be notified if we are able to accommodate the request on 11/20/17. *Quantities are limited and registration is based upon a first-come first-served basis. Registration will take place at the Gleason Family YMCA, 33 Charge Pond Rd., Wareham. Distribution: Thanksgiving distribution will take place Monday, November 20, 2017, 2pm – 8 pm at the outdoor pool area of the Gleason Family YMCA. If unable to pick-up during scheduled time please contact the YMCA at 508-295-9622. Proper ID will be required to pickup.

All items for this community program have been donated by local church congregations, the South Shore Community Action Council's Food Resources Program, and local businesses and organizations.
