Taking a look at Trump's non accomplishments

Oct 05, 2017

(Editor's note: This letter is in response to one published on Sept. 20 by Roy Folsom.)

To the Editor:

I would like to respond to Mr. Folsom and his wife. First off, to say I listen to cable news – obviously you do, but don’t read newspapers. I read newspapers. This fixation you have with cable news, what has it got to do with journalists resigning when in your president’s cabinet the Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price is gone, and General Flynn (of lock her up fame) should be locked up? And how about Donald Jr., who met with the Russians along with several others at Trump Tower. Also, it seems Mr. Kushner and Ivanka are using their own email server (I got that out of a newspaper) to conduct business. It’s being called a hypocrite.

A reminder from Mr. Folsom, the intelligence agencies have been investigating the Trump campaign for the Russian interference in our election. All of this started when Mr. Trump went on with the birther movement and we never heard about the “detectives” he sent to Hawaii. Mr. Trump likes to hear himself talk. Now, let us discuss Mr. Trump’s activities. His so-called expertise in 40-plus years of business: Trump University, that went bust, a scam that your idol had to pay $25 million to the people he bilked out of their money; the six bankruptcies, and his father had to bail him out prior. Mr. Folsom, what about the healthcare bill that he promised on the first day of office? The only accomplishment is the Supreme Court, which was pushed along by Mitch McConnell.

You must be watching cable news again. The Paris Climate Change Accord (have you seen the hurricanes?)

Mr. Trump is ignorant about the air we breathe because of self interest groups: the oil companies, Koch Industries, Dow Chemical, etc.

Unemployment, it was low before the election (4.5 percent). Stock market was at 18. It’s up now because of the big tax breaks promised by you know who and so far not delivered. There has been no mention of infrastructure, it hasn’t come up because of tax reform.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) – Mr. Trump asked the opposing party, so he can save face, which by the way is still not settled because of the indecisiveness of Mr. Trump.

Because of automation, and the changing face of clean energy, jobs are adjusting. With the infighting and the Oval Office having a revolving door the leaks are caused by drips, so pretty bad for a non-politician who does not keep his promises. Enough for now. As usual, more to follow.

Thank you for your time,

Arthur Sandland

Mr.Sandland just displays such ignorance of true facts in His constant display of hatred for our President. You really should seek help to deal with the present. Your first untruth starts with you comment that President Trump startwd the birther issues actually started with Hillary. But let's not bother with facts or truth, if you did you wouldn't have anything to rant about. There is no collusion with the Russians, except for what has been reported over and over between the Russains and Hillary and Obama. But let's just let those facts slide.

And how about that bump stock device used by the Las Vegas shooter that Obama allowed?

Funny, when I last checked Snopes and fact checker it clearly shows that Mr. Trump has actually accomplished quite a bit.. Not to mention he's undone a bunch of the crap that Obama left behind.

Facts are facts and ignorance is bliss.

For those who would like to "Fact Check" Cranky's interpretation of Snopes Research regarding Trump's accomplishments, or who would simply like to take the time to form their own opinion regarding Snopes Trump Accomplishments research:

I'm not sure if Andrea is mocking my post, trying to debunk my ideas or simply trying to help. I'll say thanks for the link and clarification.. It's an interesting read no less. Those are the first pages that come to mind, but I'm sure there's more to read out there, you just gotta look with open eyes and minds.

For the record, I'm not 100% Trump.. But I am not blind either. It's certainly better than the fabricated Fox news that most people are brainwashed by.

Appears to me that Andrea was being helpful by posting a link.  Don't be so darned cranky.

"Constant display of hatred for our president" Seems like people have forgotten how our last president was treated for 8 years. If everyone would put country before party our country would be in a much better place.

I think both sides need to stop looking at who's President at any given time. It's time to start looking at the BIGGER picture. The President (no matter which side) comes and goes...the ebb and flow of our political bend within the country ebbs and flows. It's called HISTORY.

One man doesn't make or break the country. We survived Obama and we will survive Trump. I'm sick of the personal attacks on whoever is President. Take a long look at Congress...now there's a huge problem and it's time to clean house of ALL those bloodsuckers (from both sides) Most people don't even know who their congressmen are! I enjoy reading these posts but all the smack talk about President's gets boring..the real problems lie within our own damn society itself and no President is going to single handedly change the tide. Change will start with the people in towns and cities like ours. Enough on Presidents. Focus on something that YOU can do and stop blaming the major issues of our country on one man. We had one before, we have one now, and we will have another one after this. The more it changes the more it stays the same. THAT'S the problem. We need to learn from history.

I have a hard time reading things submitted by people who are so uninformed, (or mis-informed by the media, TV news, newspapers, etc)

whatever is "reported" should be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. The untrue reporting should be the big story. If the media puts out lies or misinformation and people are duped into believing it, we will surely loose our country to first socialism and then communism. We live in a sanctuary state and Boston is a sanctuary city, how that came to be is because we the people were misinformed. INTENTIONALLY!!!  I fear for my country.

Noseyrich, i think everyone feels for our country, we just have our list in different order.
