The Christmas parade brought Santa to Wareham on Saturday, along with firetrucks, floats from local businesses and selectmen passing out candy in the annual Wareham Village Association parade.

The parade marched down Main Street to cheers from the many families who gathered to watch. It was the biggest year so far for the Christmas parade, said Wareham Village Association President Tracy McGraw. There were 49 parade entrants.

McGraw said the parade is her "baby," since when she became president of the association six years ago the yearly Christmas parade was about to end. McGraw, who loved the tradition, revived it and said it has grown every year since.
