Considering the quote below taken from a 2014 Wareham Week article, it certainly seems National Night Out would be considered worthy of continuing it's annual celebration in Wareham. Rhbinma like you, I also wonder why it's no longer celebrated.

"Hundreds if not thousands of Wareham residents mixed with local law enforcement and safety groups Tuesday evening for Wareham's annual National Night Out celebration.

The event is held in cities and towns across the country every summer and is meant to foster a strong relationship between those who protect the community and those who live in it, particularly the children."

I would suggest that you contact the Wareham Police Dept. 508-295-1212, and ask them directly instead of griping and whining here. Geeesh.  I even looked up the number for you so you don't have to waste any more of your time.

First off I have called and left messages with no return call. And I was not griping or whining I simply asked a question. You seem to be the one whining about what I wrote YOU MUST WORK FOR THE POLICE DEPT and feel offended. Maybe you are the one not returning the calls. Its a town paper I was wondering if someone else had the answer.

You are whining........get yourself and some friends and organize a new celebration. Get a permit and the police, I'm sure, will be there to help control the event. Why are you calling out Chief Walsh??
