A building on Marion Road suffered “minor structural damage” according to the Wareham Building Commissioner after being struck by a car at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The building is located at 209 Marion Road. Building Commissioner Dave Riquinha said the building’s owners were notified later Tuesday about the crash.

Wayne Tina, a resident of the building, was in his bed when the building was hit.

"I was knocked out of my bed," Tina said. He went to the hospital for minor injuries.

Additional information is unavailable at this time.

This has happened a few times in that area over the years.  Remember when the car crashed right through the kitchen of a house near there on Swifts Beach Road? Fortunately no unsuspecting people in the houses have been hurt.  The house on Swifts has since placed a giant boulder as protection.  That seems like a good idea.
