Manager/Licensed Instructor

Maynard/Wareham — The new mortgage related laws, or,   TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) rules go into effect October 3, 2015.

All agents have been instructed on how this may effect their clients, rather buying or selling.

For a well trained agent to handle your real estate needs and/or concerns.  Please, feel free to give us a call.

GMA recommended, today as a great day to visit one of Cape Cods (Sandwich) beach areas.  I recommend you avoid the bridge and visit one in Wareham.  If all the shark sightings have you concerned about visiting the ocean, then pop into town for a fun trip over to Water Wizz, got there myself once this summer and had a blast, splish splashing around.  Planning another family day there before summer ends.

Has anybody seen the shark that was sighted at Swifts Beach last year back in the area? They usually visit the same areas over and over again.

Getting a little tired of these freebie info-mercials.  This one in particular.  Please buy your ad space and don't clutter this space

I read that they saw 17 Great whites during 4 1/2 hour survey near Chatham. I bet we have at least 2 around. We know that we had one for sure last year.

Why doesn't Wareham Week put a stop to this? Every day the people at this company use this space for their "ads", if you can even call them ads.  If they can't afford to pay for their ad space or lack the scruples to, why would anyone hire them?  You don't see Jack Conway's people doing this, nor any of the little mom and pop realtors.  I for one wouldn't hire people like this.  I'm also getting tire of this "paper" not doing anything about it.

From the publisher: Berkshire Hathaway Home Services is a paid advertiser, using its privileges as a paid online bizMember to post to our site.

I wonder how many times Anne Eisenmenger will have to explain this?  This is at least the second time in a week I think.

Perhaps if blogs, announcements, stories, etc. written and posted by "bizMembers" were identified as such ("biz/Member blog/announcement/story") when entered under the "What's New" column, publisher clarification would not have to be repeated.

Perhaps people should begin to address their concerns to the editor in that case rather than blow it all out of proportion on someones post?  But then again, people enjoy being mad about things "publicly" nowadays.

SeeChange I was thinking the same thing. Then I looked up the different memberships for this online site and saw that a bizmember is a member who, get this, PAYS to be a member and post stories in these categories. Why should paying members have to be treated with less respect than the freebies, which probably most of these posters including myself are? SMH.

WWREADER - I did a search for the biz membership information that you referenced thinking that posting it as a quote would be helpful to those who have expressed concerns. I wasn't able to locate the information.  Please if time allows, post a quote of the information you referenced.

All I could find was the following publisher comment in reference to promotional material posted by New England Alarm, under the title:

“Popularity surging for smart-home technology”

Justin,

It's more a matter of sorting things out.

New England Alarm is a bizMember of WarehamVillageSoup.com. As such, the company is encouraged to post what you refer to as "advertorials" as bizBriefs on our site. That's one of the big benefits of bizMembership.

In this case, the company posted what is more appropriately a bizBrief ("Brief" is the name, not a description of length) as a Discussion. Honest confusion. The company's next post will be a bizBrief.

Anne

Went to Water Wizz this weekend. Had such a great time that I want to buy the place so I don't have to wait in line anymore. Does anyone know a reputable realtor that can help me with this transaction? Thanks Spherebreaker

Ask "diesel" on the other thread. Sounds like he's Realtor shopping.
