Nearly 150 kids and parents participated in the Gleason Family YMCA's Healthy Kids Day held Saturday. The free event included tips for promoting healthy behavior in kids, safety information and fun activities. YMCA's across the South Coast participated as well.

Wareham's event featured a finger printing station by the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department, fly casting lessons from L.L. Bean, healthy eating information from the UMass Extension Nutrition Education program, recycling by Wareham Recycling program, animal identification and education with a ranger from Myles Standish State Forest and a Buzzards Bay Coalition information table.
