On Tuesday, October 8, the girls volleyball team raised awareness for breast cancer by having a "dig pink" night.  The team decorated the gym and wore pink warm-ups, socks, headbands, and ribbons.  To raise money for the cause there was a bakesale outside the gym and a 50/50 raffle.
They made $150, all of which was donated to the "Dig Pink" foundation, a non profit organization that funds research and awareness for breast cancer.
The Vikings lost the first two games 12-25 and 20-25.
They came back to win the next three games 25-21, 26-16, and 15-10.  Coach Hellyar said "The girls played very well with a lot of heart."
