Deceased man found on Onset Avenue, police investigating

Dec 02, 2017

On Dec. 1 at around 3:30 p.m., the body of a deceased man was found in an alley in the 200 block of Onset Avenue in the area of Marc Anthony's Pizzeria.

The man was determined to be a 36-year-old Onset resident who was known to the staff at the pizzeria, according to police. Indications are that the body had not been at the location for an extended amount of time.

Although the official cause of death is not yet determined, there are no indications of foul play and no present danger to the general public.

Identification of the man is being withheld at this time, due to respect for time to notify family members.

The matter is under investigation by the Wareham Police Department Detective Division and Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit.

With all due respect to the deceased, isn't this a sort of a big deal.  It isn't every day that they find a body in town.

Any updates?  Seems downplayed.  I'm sure that I'm not the only one that wants more info.

I have to guess that the information isn't available to the reporters yet or it probably would be updated.

ABC reports that the man was employed at Marc’s.

I’m so sorry for his family and friends’ loss.
