The Wareham Village Association is pleased to present “Christmas on Main Street” on Saturday, December 8 from 10 am to 3pm up and down Main Street from the Narrows Crossing Restaurant to the Old Company Store.  Designed to promote dining and shopping locally, a free Scavenger Hunt will be held during the day--register at the Association office starting at 9:30am to receive your Scavenger Hunt packet and instructions.  Completed scavenger hunt entries, returned to the Association office, will be entered into a free raffle of items from Main Street businesses.

Participating businesses, such as Gourmet & Gourmand Bake Shop, Jacks R Wild, TD Bank, Little People’s College, the Matrix Salon and many others will offer various activities and give-a-ways throughout the day.   Eastern Bank will feature a Christmas Carol Sing-a-long with Flo Byron, face painting and cookies; while Piper’s Restaurant will host gingerbread placemat making.  Little People’s College will offer photos with your favorite Disney character from 11 am to 2pm and Gallery Consignment Shoppe features a mystery discount.  Write a letter to Santa at TD Bank and enjoy a hot chocolate, while supplies last, at Gourmet & Gormand.  Email us for a complete list of Christmas on Main Street activities,

The festivities culminate in the annual Christmas parade with a 3pm step-off from Merchant’s Way.  This year’s parade theme is “Main Street Magic”.  The parade will proceed entirely along Main Street this year and turn right onto Elm St. to end at the historic Tremont Nail factory complex.  The Old Company Store and A.D. Makepeace Company will host a tree lighting and a wishing tree where participants receive a ribbon to tie to the tree.  Hot chocolate and snacks will be available at the Wareham Historical Society Meeting House as well as the Old Company Store.

Parking is available throughout Wareham Village and walking is encouraged with shuttle service provided by the Wareham School Department.  Participants are encouraged to use various public parking lots including Pezzoli Square, Town Hall, and on street parking on Merchant’s Way and Main Street.  Please note that access to your vehicle, if parked on Merchant’s Way will be restricted starting at 2pm for the parade line up.

The Wareham Village Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving Main Street.  For more information about Christmas on Main Street and the annual parade; or how to become involved in the Association contact
