Car crashes into utility pole on Sandwich Road in Wareham

A 35-year-old Plymouth woman is uninjured after her car crashed into a utility pole early Monday morning on Sandwich Road, police said.

Wareham Police and the Wareham Fire Department responded just before 8 a.m. to the crash, which occurred near Hollowtree Avenue. Police redirected traffic to Indian Neck Road and closed a small portion of Sandwich Road so emergency crews could clean up the scene.

Wareham Police said the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

I waited to make sure that there were no injuries before saying something goofy about this.  I'm learning to be respectful or someone will certainly chastise me.


Let's see, no other vehicle involved, it was daylight, there was no ice, no rain, the road is straight as an arrow, and nothing medical...hmmm.  I'd say that either a demon momentarily possessed her steering wheel or a big squirrel named TEXT ran out in front of her car.

i agree it was probably a text squirrel. they are getting pretty common. As a truck driver i see them all day long passing me in almost every car. It is a very good thing there were no school kids standing there waiting for the bus at 8:00 in the morning. I hope she did'nt spill her coffee
