Boys' Ice Hockey at the Halfway Point

The Wareham/Carver Boys' Ice Hockey team are halfway through their season and determined! In regard to, the rest of the season they hope to make it to the state tournament. In order to do so they must win there last 10 games. With tighter defensive zone coverage they may just do it. Coach Erikson credits his assistant coaches: Rich Valatkevicz, Bob Sprowl, and Howie Ladd as being "the hardest working coaches in the game."

Currently their season record is, 4-5-1 (wins-losses-tie(s)):

Game 1 vs. East Bridgewater: Loss 5-1

- Sophomore, Sean Fagan made their only goal.

Game 2 vs. Norton: Win 6-2

- Senior, Marquis Almedia was a big part of the win.

Game 3 vs. Durfee: Win 10-3

- Freshman, Derek Miller had his first varsity win and also made a great goal

Game 4 vs. Old Rochester: Loss 5-1

Game 5 vs. Durfee: Win 10-3

-Freshman, Derek Miller had his first career shutout.

Game 6 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth: Loss 3-2

- A very close game, Dighton-Rehoboth scored their winning goal with only 52 seconds on the clock.

Game 7 vs. Greater New Bedford Voc: Loss 9-2

Game 8 vs. Norton: Win 2-0

- Senior, Marquis Almedia with the shutout.

Game 9 vs. Cape Cod Tech/Cape Cod Academy: Loss 5-0

- Senior, Marquis Almedia had 34 saves.

Game 10 vs. New Bedford: Tie 5-5

- Sophomore, Pat Hurley made 4 goals.

- Sophomore, Nick Elicier had his first career goal.
