4th Saturday Contra Dance Resumes this Saturday July 22

By Cultural Connection, Inc. | Jul 17, 2017

The 4th Saturday Contra Dance will be held this Saturday, July 22nd from 6:30 to 10:00 PM on the newly refinished gymnasium floor at the Wareham Boys & Girls Club in Onset Village.

New England area dance caller Jeannine Ameduri will lead the dance with her contra stylings. Notorious contra musicians David Horne on Bass, Kristen Warren on Fiddle, Bob Eliot on string 'n things and John Peck on keyboard, once again light up the evening with their own brand of harmonies.

Bring friends and family to enjoy this exhilarant form of dance entertainment. There are light refreshments served. Bring a favorite dish to share if you like.

For the curious, each Contra Dance has a "caller" who rhythmically instructs the dancers which step will come next so newbies can follow right from the "git go." Arrive at 6:30 PM for some free instruction if you like; the dance starts at 7:00 PM.

The donation suggested at the door is $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for students with ID and seniors. Purchase your first ticket this year and we will include a membership to the Cultural Connection until next Memorial Day. Membership will help you stay connected to all the fun in Onset and Wareham for a full year!

Support the arts and come to the dance where there is always live music and good friends!

The Boys & Girls Club is located at 13 Highland Ave. in Onset/Wareham MA at the corner of Highland Ave. and Eleventh St.
