Two Wareham High School seniors received $500 each to help them pay for college after earning the Chris Elicier Scholarship on June 8.

Named in honor of Chris Elicier, a Wareham man who died in 2012 after his car was hit head on by a drunk driver, the scholarship awards $500 to two graduating seniors. Elicier was a lifelong resident of Wareham and a graduate of the Class of 1987.

Elicier’s son, Ryan, was on stage during the senior classes' awards night to present Gabrielle Lefrancois and Mini Patel with the scholarship.
