May 9, 2024

BUZZARDS BAY – William “Bill” George Titus, 80, of Buzzards Bay passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Harry and Anita (Metivier) Titus. Bill was a longtime resident of Brockton where he worked as a welder for George Knight Inc. After relocating to Buzzards Bay and enduring a brief, unfulfilling retirement, Bill returned to work and found purpose at NAPA Auto Parts.

Bill, a Navy veteran who proudly served aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), cherished moments with his girlfriend, his family, particularly his grandchildren, and loyal companion, Jake the dog. His jovial spirit found solace in the camaraderie of friends at Charlie’s Restaurant in Wareham, where laughter echoed for hours of shared jokes. An ecstatic enthusiast of the Beatles, he cranked up their tunes fearlessly, regardless of who it disturbed. He had a great passion for sport cars, particularly Ford Mustangs. His absence leaves a profound void, a reminder of the immeasurable loss felt by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Jocelyn Wozny and her husband Roman of Rehoboth, MA, Travis Titus and his spouse Sarah of New Bedford, MA, Joshua Titus and his wife Mary of Brockton, MA and Wendy Titus-Dyke and her husband Jay, his grandchildren Jere, Nichole, Kyle, Chasity, Kayleigh, Nicholas, Cameron and Chase, his great grandchildren Aislinne, Isabella, Alijah, Khloe, Kailani, Braylen and Madeline, and his sister Linda Kusche of Snowflake, AZ. He was pre-deceased by his siblings, the late James Titus and Joanne Jackson.

He is also survived by his beloved long-time companion Patricia Rudy of Buzzards Bay and her children, Jennifer Cote and Jacquelyn Pedrante; her grandchildren Jerry and Antonia and her great grandchild Ezekial.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 5PM-8PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham, MA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at the funeral home at 12:00 PM followed by interment in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
