Remember veterans with Memorial Day Ceremony

A Memorial Day ceremony will take place on Monday, May 27 at various sites across Wareham, honoring veterans who gave their lives in the service of this country and those who are no longer with us. 

The ceremony will include an invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance, a presentation of arms, the laying of a wreath, an honor guard and the playing of taps. 

The ceremony will occur at the Dudley L. Brown Square at 8:30 a.m., at the Agwam Cemetery at 9 a.m., at the St. Patrick’s Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., at the Centre Cemetery at 10 a.m., at the Centre Park Memorial at 10:30 a.m. and at the Town Hall Memorial at 11 a.m.

It is presented by the Dudley L. Brown VFW, Wareham Minutemen and Militia Companies, the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps and veterans. 

It is sponsored in part by the Wareham Veterans Day organization.
