WAREHAM – Mark A. Smith, 94, of Marion formerly of Wareham, passed away on March 22, 2024, at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. He was the husband of the late Evelyn M. (Somers) Smith and the son of the late Talmage Wiseman and Jose Phine (Blackwelder) Smith.

He was born in Hanestown, NC and lived in Wareham for many years. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Smith was the Chief Executive Officer for Terry’s Home Oil Company for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his children, Mark E. Smith and his wife Brigid of Weeki Wachee, FL, Terry W. Smith and his wife Donna of Punta Gorda, FL; his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Amber, Wade, Angela, Fawn, Eric, Hugh and Patrick; several great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Bonny Marques-Anderson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
