Join the Citizens’ Climate Lobby and the Wareham Land Trust on Wednesday, April 17 for three short documentaries on local solutions to the consequences of climate change.

The event will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Wareham Public Library meeting room, 59 Marion Road.

“Impervious Problem” guides viewers through the history of impervious surfaces and the problems they can cause, including how impervious surfaces collect and hold heat to cause islands of heat in urban spaces.

“On the Road with Salt” talks with road maintenance officials in Franklin, Massachusetts to learn how they balance keeping the roads safe from ice and providing clean, salt-free drinking water to residents.

“When in Drought, Massachusetts” discusses how drought is exposing the weaknesses in our water regulations and distribution system by looking at the Ipswich River, now one of the most threatened rivers in the country.

A question and answer and discussion will follow each 8 minute film.
