Opening day is just around the corner, and registration for Gateway Babe Ruth is now open. It closes on April 13.

Players from Mattapoisett, Marion, Rochester, Middleboro and Wareham ages 12 to 16 are eligible to register.

Evaluations for all new players will be held Saturday, April 13 at Dexter Field in Rochester.

The season begins in early June and ends in July, avoiding school ball. Practices begin in April.

With more than 25 teams competing, Gateway Babe Ruth is one of the largest leagues in eastern Massachusetts.
