Take a morning stroll around the 2.5-mile East Head Pond Loop at Myles Standish State Forest in Carver with the Buzzards Bay Coalition and the Wareham Land Trust on Wednesday, March 15. You’ll enjoy some fresh springtime air and learn about the interesting history of this trail, which was established by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of FDR’s New Deal.

This Bay Adventure is part of a series of Wednesday Walkabouts historical tours in March at four local conservation properties:

  • March 8: Douglas S. Westgate Conservation Area, Wareham
  • March 15: Myles Standish State Forest, Carver
  • March 22: Tweedy and Barnes Conservation Area, Wareham
  • March 29: Horseshoe Mill, Wareham
