The Wareham High School Junior ROTC program was recently named an Honor Unit of Distinction for this past school year 2015-2016.

This is the highest national recognition a JROTC program can achieve. It is for maintaining exceptionally high standards of performance in all areas of the program.

The unit is evaluated on numerous criteria including: community service, student academic and athletic performance, compliance with curriculum standards, drill and ceremony, marksmanship, and physical fitness, as well as cadet knowledge of their individual duties and responsibilities.

The JROTC students have been volunteers for Don't Trash Wareham since its inception two years ago. They really do a great job and believe in giving back to the community through their service. This award is well-deserved!
