Stories of local cases of true crime, mysterious apparitions, and strange happenings in the Wareham-Marion-Mattapoisett area will be presented by Lynda Ames, author of In The Dark Woods of Wareham: Murder of the Eggman, at the Wareham Free Library, Wednesday, August 8, at 7 p.m. Local history buffs and anyone interested in quirky events of the not-so-distant past will be fascinated as she highlights some particularly eerie parts of town and recommends other writings that make for great after-dark reading.
