Car fire slows traffic on Route 25 in Wareham

Wareham Police and firefighters responded to a car fire on Route 25 around 1:30 p.m. Friday, near the Charge Pond Road overpass.

The eastbound lane was blocked to one lane of traffic as firefighters extinguished the blaze. According to emergency broadcasts, the car was “fully involved.”

It’s unknown what caused the fire or if anyone was injured. Additional information is not available at this time.
