It's a new format on a new Main Street on a new date.  The Wareham Village Association is pleased to present the 16th Annual Swan Festival from Besse Park to Center Park on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, from 10 am to 2pm.

The long line up of vendors has been reconfigured--this year, the Swan Festival concentrates its activities up and down the new Main Street in the following locations--Besse Park, Pezzoli Square, Merchant's Way Depot, Fire Station #1, 377 Main St., and Center Park (Wareham Historical Society, 36th Annual Antiques Fair); connecting all of them with Walk or Ride.  Walk Wareham, designed by Southcoast Hospitals Group, is a 2.2 mile walk through Wareham Village that burns approximately 200 calories and captures the day succintly. Maps are being printed now!  Ride the shuttle bus if you prefer and stop along the way at the Car Show at 377 Main St., Touch a Fire Truck at the station, vendors at Pezzoli Square, and children's activities at Besse Park.

Also new this year is a Pet Parade with free registration at 10 am adjacent to the Fire Station on Main Street with a kick off at 11 am behind Cumberland Farms and ending at Wareham Feed--frolick on the scenic riverfront while your pet struts his stuff.

Swan and duck paddle boat rides will make their debut on the Wareham River departing from the depot and horse drawn carriages will transport you along Merchant's Way and Main Street.

A community celebration of Independence Day that you do not want to miss--plug us into your busy 4th of July schedule--we would love to see you in Wareham Village.  The Wareham Village Association thanks our sponsors, Decas Cranberry Products, TD North, Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, Wareham Week, Olde Towne Builders, Mayflower Bank and the A.D. Makepeace Company.
